Annealing process - the first stage of thermal transformation of metal or alloy. During annealing in special furnaces, metalware are heated to temperature above the critical value and are maintained at these conditions within a set time period. As a result, annealing changes structural lattice and properties of the metal.

 

Annealing is followed by cooling of the workpiece. The cooling rate depends on properties the metal should be imparted with. Accuracy of maintenance of the thermal conditions and cooling rate are very important parameters which should be provided by the modern annealing furnaces.
