 Design features 

Structure of the muffle furnace is rather simple; however, it varies depending on design features. The furnaces are classified by:

  • range of operating temperature which varies from 100 to 1450°С;
  • type of energy carriers applied for heating (electricity or gas);
  • protective mode applied (gaseous medium, air, vacuum);
  • design (horizontal, vertical, bell-type, and tube-type furnaces).

Application field of muffle furnaces 

These units are intended to simulate thermal processes in aggressive conditions, e.g. at influence of factors like dust, gas, acids, mechanical particles, etc. on specific material.

Heating temperature reaches +1150°С or +1300°С depending on specific model. The equipment allows heating, burning, firing, and cooling of metals, ceramics, reagents, and other samples.

Operational capabilities of muffle furnaces from LLC “Sikron” 

  1. Quick heating. On the average, it takes not more than 30-40 minutes for the furnace to reach operating temperature.
  2. Enhanced accuracy of temperature adjustment. Error does not exceed ±0,2 % (about 1°С).
  3. Availability of several operating modes for solving of research problems of any complexity. Muffle furnaces are equipped with microprocessor regulator for steady operation in any temperature range.
  4. Mechanical reliability. Supporting framework of units is made of stainless steel. Materials on the basis of ceramic fibres of superior quality are used for heat insulation. Internal walls of the chamber are covered with ceramic protective layer. All this makes muffle furnaces durable and maintenance-friendly.
  5. Uniform heating of the whole internal volume of the chamber for even higher accuracy of results.
