"Sikron" company produces and sells resistance chamber furnaces consisting of a lined chamber. Principle of their operation is based on heat released from a heater and transferred to heated product. By the way of transformation of electric energy into thermal energy, resistance furnaces are divided into two types:

  • units of direct heating;
  • units of indirect action.

By technological purpose, furnaces of this type are divided into three basic groups:

  • thermal furnaces - for execution of various thermal and chemical and thermal processing of non-ferrous and ferrous metals, ceramics, glass, plastic, metal ceramics, and other materials;
  • melting furnaces used for melting of fusible non-ferrous metals and  chemically active refractory alloys and metals;
  • drying furnaces applied for drying of foundry forms, paint and varnish coverings, plasters of welding electrodes, enamels, ceramic and metal products, etc.

 

 There are resistance furnaces of periodic action, the main feature of which is fixed position of heated product within the whole time. Thus, operation cycle consists of several stages: loading, heat treatment according to programmed mode, and unloading. Furnaces of this type can operate in round-the-clock mode.

There are resistance chamber furnaces having several temperature zones change of which is carried out according to established processing procedure. Thus, processed product moves between them with a set rate. Continuous movement of workpieces can be organized, if necessary.
